Q. I'm a corporate meeting planner. Why should I choose CRC to help me do my job?
A. We often partner with corporate meeting planners that find themselves in a crunch or just have too much on their plates. CRC can assist planners like you by coordinating an entire project or just a piece of a project. We bill on an hourly basis and provide cost estimates for what each project will cost. The meeting planner becomes our client contact but maintains the final say on all aspects of the program.
Q. What makes CRC stand out from the competition?
A. Our customer service is what separates us from the rest. In fact, we find it pretty easy to beat the competition on that alone. We measure our success based on the level of satisfaction from our clients - not the number of programs we coordinate.
Q. I work for a company that does not have a meeting planner on staff. I often get the task of coordinating meetings and incentive programs. I don't think my boss will be very receptive if I try to outsource this. How can I sell her on this idea?
A. Sometimes the boss doesn't realize how much time it takes to coordinate programs like these. Plus, coordinating meetings and travel incentive programs takes you away from your normal job responsibilities; your time is better spent doing the things that you do best. Hiring a professional doesn't have to cost a lot of money - we are always willing to discuss a shared venture. This often can keep the costs down to a very manageable level.
Q. How do I know that CRC can really deliver everything they say they can?
A. That's a great question! The best thing you can do is to take 10 minutes to contact 2-3 references. Talk with those people and ask the hard questions. You're the one that needs to feel comfortable with your decision, so take the time to investigate.
Q. Once I turn a project over to CRC, how will I be kept in the communication loop?
A. The staff at CRC is very hands-on and customer focused. We know what it's like to be the client; we've all been there! We work with you to meet your level of comfort by determining the vehicle of communication and the frequency you desire.
Q. I have just been given the responsibility to pull together our high profile "Presidents Incentive Program" for next year. I feel the need to contract this program with a large nationally-known company that can provide me with all the services I think I'll need. Tell me why I should use CRC.
A. Just because a company is bigger doesn't mean they're better. Base your decision on qualifications, business references and the daily availability of the people involved in your project. We believe being smaller than the large nationally-known companies is an advantage to our clients. While offering the same professional services as the large companies, CRC provides you and your team with a level of customer service that's unsurpassed in our industry today.
Q. Who are the owners of CRC?
A. Lisa Cargill and Reid Romsaas. In 1995 Lisa started the company with the commitment that Reid would join her within one year. In 1996 Reid resigned from his position at Northwest Airlines after 15 years of coordinating manager conferences, customer service and new hire training. Lisa and Reid are both actively involved in the day-to-day operations of CRC.
Q. My meeting planner just resigned and I'm in a world of pain! How fast can you jump in and get up to speed on our national sales meeting that takes place in 5 weeks?
A. Believe it or not this happens fairly often. Usually, CRC can jump right in and help make the program a success without the participants ever knowing there was a glitch in the system. However, there are times we need to decline a piece of business for the sake of both parties. If we find that our office can't accept the business based on the timeline and expectations, we would assist you at no charge in recommending another company.
Q. I have a small program I may need some help pulling together. I don't think I can afford a professional meeting planning company like CRC. Will you still give me a bid that I can try and sell to my boss?
